The four-layer reality

Most investors with $1M+ are paying across four cost layers. Their advisor has only shown them one.

If you have a million dollars or more at a wirehouse, a bank, or a broker-dealer, there’s a good chance you’re paying more than you realize. Not because anyone is hiding it from you. The fee structure is just built in layers, and most advisors only talk about the first one.

We built Paragon to work differently. We’ll show you all four layers, in writing, and you can decide for yourself whether your current setup is working for you. No pressure. No obligation. If everything looks good, we’ll tell you that too.

What you’ll receive

Here’s exactly what you’ll receive.

Your Complimentary 4-Layer Fee Review is a written analysis covering every cost layer in your current portfolio.

01

Advisory / Management Fee

The number your advisor quotes you, typically 0.8–1.5% of assets. It’s the layer you can see, and it’s only the first one.

02

Underlying Fund Expenses

Every mutual fund or ETF charges its own internal expense ratio, deducted inside the fund before your returns are reported. You never see a bill for it.

03

Transaction & Platform Costs

Ticket charges, wrap fees, platform access and sub-transfer agent fees. They vary by custodian and are rarely disclosed upfront.

04

Tax Drag Where we’re different

Fund turnover, capital-gain distributions, and the inability to harvest losses create a hidden tax cost most reviews never touch. This is where Paragon is different.

You’ll also see how your current structure compares to a fee-based, individual-stock portfolio, where tax-loss harvesting is active and your tax return is prepared by the same team managing your investments.

You keep the written analysis whether or not we ever work together.

Who it’s for

This review is built for households with $1M+ in investable assets.

If you currently work with a wirehouse, bank, or broker-dealer and have wondered whether your fees are competitive, whether your portfolio is tax-efficient, or whether your advisor and your CPA are actually coordinating, this review will answer those questions.

We work primarily with families in the Franklin, Brentwood, and Nashville area, but the review is available to anyone with $1 million or more in investable assets.

How it works

Three steps. No strings.

01

Book a 30-minute call

Pick a time that works for you. If you’d like to send your most recent brokerage statement ahead of time, we’ll have your analysis prepared when we meet. If you’d rather talk first, that’s fine too.

02

We do the work

Allen reviews your portfolio across all four cost layers and prepares your written analysis.

03

You get the results

A clear, written summary of what you’re paying, where the gaps are, and what your options look like. Yours to keep. No obligation.
